The Finance, Planning, and Investment Committee is responsible for advising the University Council on matters related to finance, budgeting, planning, and investment. The Committee is mandated to ensure the University's financial sustainability and effective utilization of resources

The main roles of the Finance, Planning, and Investment Committee include the following:

  • Developing and recommending financial policies, procedures, and strategies
  • Preparing and reviewing the University's annual budgets and financial reports
  • Monitoring the University's financial performance and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Advising the University Council on investment opportunities and risks
  • Developing and recommending strategies for resource mobilization and fundraising

The Finance, Planning, and Investment Committee comprises of 10 members, including:

  • The Vice-Chancellor (Chairperson)
  • Two Deputy Vice-Chancellors
  • The University Secretary
  • The Director of Finance
  • The Director of Planning and Development
  • Two members of the University Senate
  • Two representatives of the non-teaching staff
